Eustaquio Marín approached painting in a self-taught way, at first through a figurative language, influenced by the folklore of his native land. However, he later approached a more expressionist painting, where the brushstroke and the materiality became very important. After initially training in Seville, he completed artistic studies in Rome and Madrid. He achieved recognition with the celebration of his first individual exhibition at the Iturrioz Gallery in Madrid in 1910. This was organized thanks to the efforts of the artist Joaquín Sorolla, who, after getting to know the work of Marín Ramos, decided to organize an exhibition that lived up to his potential. In this way, the plastic work of the Sevillian was acquired by personalities such as Sorolla himself, as well as Zuloaga, Benedito, the Marquis de la Vega Inclán and even King Alfonso XIII.
