Painter, engraver and draftsman, formed in the School of Fine Arts of Valencia, he traveled to London and Paris where he acquired new influences that would serve him for his later pictorial series.
He was initiated in the portrait theme, a genre that he practiced during most of his artistic career, being recognized for them. He also painted landscapes and popular scenes of Sorollista tendency, still lifes and nude figures influenced by the artist Titian.
He also worked as an engraver, poster artist and illustrator, whose works already showed a glimpse of fantastic expressionism, visionary and committed to politics, an example of which is the present work.
His artistic career was combined with his life as a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos. He maintained a close relationship with the avant-garde artists of the thirties who were then in Valencia, with whom he participated in exhibitions held by the Ateneo Mercantil, in the Sala Blava, as well as in the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Valencia or in the Spanish Pavilion of the International Exhibition in Paris.
His work is conserved in the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, in the Popular Museum of Villafamés, in the Museum of Castellón, as well as in the Museum of Modern Art of Madrid.
