In this canvas the author offers us a mountain landscape at the same time daily and idyllic, with some rocks that take prominence in the foreground in which we can see the only character of the work, a woman who seems to be going to wash her clothes in the river. It also gives prominence to the vegetation and trees that appear in the mountain. This landscape is worked with a strong atmospheric accent, based on a delicate treatment of color and the study of natural light. The Catalan school has a great tradition and mastery in the landscape configuration, first of all, its proximity to France, linked them through friendships with impressionist artists, who exerted some influence on the Catalan school.
