Devotional scene of the Spanish Baroque representing the Virgin of half body with the Child Jesus. On their heads we can see cherubs holding a Marian representation on an architecture that symbolizes the ecclesiastical institution. The seven stars of Mary's halo also symbolize the guardian angels of the seven churches. The young face of the Virgin and the small body embracing it are modeled with contrasting lighting that delicately sculpts the shapely limbs. The black background intensifies the chromatic smoothness of the canvases.
