The artist of this canvas conceives the work in the baroque manner, with a red curtain on the left side of the composition and the rest of the characters on the right. It represents the moment in which Jesus writes on the ground the names of those gathered in the temple of Jerusalem, while he formulates the phrase "let him who is without sin cast the first stone". Regarding the theme represented, it is based on a passage from the Bible Jesus with the adulterous woman, it says: "Jesus was preaching in the temple in Jerusalem when they entered with a sinful woman whom they were going to kill, at that moment Jesus stopped them and, writing on the ground the names of those gathered, said the phrase: whoever is without sin let him cast the first stone. In this way he got them all to leave, each one recognizing his sins, leaving Jesus and the woman alone, and he said to her: go and sin no more.
