In this Italian school of the XVII century is represented the moment in which Venus appears in the forge of Vulcan, who appears next to his anvil, interrupting his work for a moment. The goddess, directly illuminated by a focal light that enhances her corporeality, wears a white tunic covered by a blue cloak, a vaporous attire that contrasts with the roughness of Vulcan's muscular body. In the background, in a cave, appear several of the Cyclops, his assistants, who continue working, busy with their hammers forging iron weapons. This second scene marks the perspective and depth of the work.
