Baroque painting of Italian school, endowed with a great plastic quality. Two angels or putti are ready to adorn a feminine bust of stone, probably a divinity of the nature (perhaps Flora), and for it they have gathered bunches of aromatic spring flowers, with which they make a splendid garland. Their bodies, skilfully modeled by the chiaroscuro, have turned limbs and subtly reddened flesh. Fluffy cheeks and black eyes characterize the plump childish faces. The sensuality of the corollas coexists with the gracefulness of the bodies, which flaunt silk wings. The whole is a celebration of spring and life.
