On the occasion of Mario Testino's eponymous exhibition in China, the publishing house Taschen published "Private View". The book contains contributions by Graydon Carter, Karl Lagerfeld, Dr. Jennifer Allen and Patrick Kinmonth. "Private View" was conceived for Mario Testino's first exhibition in China in 2012. The traveling exhibition brought together 100 of Testino's most iconic photographs, providing a unique insight into his aesthetic contributions to fashion and photography.

Testino is known for his extraordinary ability to capture the most intimate moments. His spontaneous and intimate portraits offer viewers new perspectives on famous faces and also create new fashion icons. For "Private View", Testino selected the images that meant the most to him, choosing to show all the different facets of his creative output. The influences on his portraits, for example, owe much to his fashion photography and, in turn, his work with the Royal Family.

Mario Eduardo Testino Silva is a Peruvian fashion photographer and portraitist based in London. Many fashion magazines, such as Vogue or Vanity Fair, have requested his services to adorn their pages. In front of Testino's lens many famous celebrities and models have posed, including: Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Gisele Bündchen, Coco Rocha, Candice Swanepoel, Kate Winslet, Kim Basinger, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Naomi Campbell, Christina Aguilera, Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Hurley, Janet Jackson, Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears, Keira Knightley, Lindsay Lohan, Madonna, Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan, Selena Gomez, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Patrick Dempsey, Emma Watson, Cristiano Ronaldo, Irina Shayk, Neymar Jr., Kristen Stewart and Nick Jonas, among others.

Testino is also known for photographing some of Europe's royalty, especially British royalty, including Princess Diana of Wales, Prince Charles of Wales, Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Henry of Wales and Queen Rania of Jordan.
