In this landscape the artist follows the models established by Joseph Mallord William Turner, heirs in turn of the vedutas of Canaletto. In Turner's works a rational structure underlies, always designed to enhance the monumentality of what is represented, whether it is an urban view or a coastal landscape. The author reproduces the composition focusing entirely on the atmosphere.
