Juana Francés was one of the most forceful artists of the Spanish plastic trajectory of the 20th century. Founding member of the group El Paso and the only woman who was part of it, she was always an innate creator. Internationally renowned, her works were exhibited in London, Venice and New York as one of the most important Spanish avant-garde artists of the 20th century. Her work has been exhibited in the most important museums in America and Europe such as the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Villa in Paris, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, the Tate Gallery in London and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. The Amos Cahan Collection has one of his works in its catalog. The Juana Francés collection at the IAACC Pablo Serrano has more than 150 works, including paintings, drawings, graphic works and sculptures. At her death, she wanted the total volume of her work to be preserved in public collections in the four Spanish cities with which she had had emotional ties: Zaragoza (IAACC Pablo Serrano), Alicante (MACA), Valencia (IVAM) and Madrid (Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía).
