Painter, draftsman, sculptor and serigrapher. He studied sculpture at the National School of Arts in Havana, graduating in 1978. He studied painting and drawing at the Higher Institute of Arts in the same city, graduating in 1984. Artist belonging to the generation of the 80's in Cuba. Nelson Villalobos creates the RUPTURA group composed of his four eteronyms: Nelson, Villa, Ferrer and Lobo and a manifesto of the same name, with which he defended art for art's sake, away from epochs and trends, a plural art. This plurality makes him a painter of painters, who might seem lacking in style, but nevertheless contains all styles, in what has been called: villalobismo. His work, constantly evolving, is a flow and confluence of cultures - Afro-Cuban, Egyptian, Latin American, Peruvian among others - and the influence of other great artists - such as Picasso, Matisse, Picabia among many - from which he drinks and from which flows his own pictorial universe. In his professional activity, his work as a professor of Art in different Cuban and Spanish institutions stands out.
