This work is part of the "Olympic Centennial Suite", complete edition 110/250, which will be auctioned on 27 September 2022, in 50 consecutive lots from numbers 35245230 to 35245280.
Measurements: 90 x 63 cm.
A painter of precocious talent, Peter Klasen trained at the Berlin School of Fine Arts between 1956 and 1959, and in the early 1960s he settled in Paris, where he soon became one of the most recognised members of the New Figuration movement. He developed a personal plastic language, exploring and reinterpreting the signs of our urban environment and popular culture. He is currently represented in important international museums, as well as in leading galleries in Germany, Italy, France, the United States, Spain and other countries.
