Khanjali or Satevari, also known as kindjal, is a Georgian double-edged dagger used since ancient times in the Caucasus. [The shape of the weapon is similar to that of the ancient Roman gladius, the Scottish dagger and the ancient Greek xiphos. The inhabitants of the Caucasus have used the Kindjal as a secondary weapon since the 18th century.
These daggers and their scabbards are usually heavily engraved with gold or silver designs, and sometimes include inlaid precious stones. The scabbard usually has an extension at the tip, and the handle is usually made of materials such as wood or ivory.
