The French company JEP (Jouets et Équipements Paris) was a leading manufacturer of electric scale trains during the 20th century. Their scale reproductions were especially valued for their quality and detail. The model electric locomotive shown here includes one engine and four cars. These trains, made of metal, had realistic details and were equipped with electric mechanisms that allowed their operation on metal tracks. The cars could be passenger or freight cars, each with specific features that reflected the real trains of the era. These sets were popular with model railroad enthusiasts and today are highly valued collector's items. Their design and construction reflect the craftsmanship and attention to detail that characterized JEP.
