French mirror with wooden core and stuccoed decoration in relief, completely gilded on the front. It has a rectangular profile, with curved upper and lower corners, and a design of floral vegetation in the frame rails, as well as a pearly border in the central border of the frame.This type of pieces were highly valued during the time as "The taste" for the decorative arts increased in the European courts in the late eighteenth century, and throughout the nineteenth century in which the superfluous luxury and the desire to possess small and exquisite things spread among the nobility and the gentry.
