Pair of torcheros; Italy, XVIII century.
Chiseled wood.
They present faults and paint losses. One of them has slight damage caused by xylophages.
Measurements: 80 x 19 x 19 cm (x2).
Pair of 18th century Italian liturgical torcheros made of carved, turned and painted wood. Both pieces have the same design with tripod foot, column-shaped shaft and upper burner with large saucer. On a base of mixtilinear profile and ornamental elements of vegetal type they show a clear inspiration in the baroque carvings, although they are pieces of later epoch. The structure is topped, in each case, by a cup-shaped lampshade. The whole has been worked with precious attention to detail treated individually.
