Chest made of carved and polychromed wood with a metallic applique to close it. The piece has a rectangular structure of simple lines with a flat lid. In spite of the simplicity of the form, the piece stands out for its delicate ornamental design that is arranged all over the chest, except for the base. The decorative work of India would reach very high levels of finesse and quality, standing out in the collector's market as a unique and idiosyncratic expression. Tradition was joined by the roots and cultural heritage of the workplaces where the artisans displayed great talent both in the execution of the works and in the creation of especially novel and original models and decorations.
