Table or desk lamp in silvered bronze and Art Deco style. On a stepped base (raised on a marble base) stands the sculpture of a flute player of medieval inspiration, between two pilasters in the form of bugles set into each other to simulate plant shoots. One of them arches to form the arm of the lamp, which ends with a truncated pyramidal diffuser. This allows for different orientations.
Georges-Marius Boretti was initially recognized for his qualities as a sculptor. He put his talent as a creator and designer at the service of the art of lighting Déco. In his time, Lustrerie G.M. Boretti was internationally recognized. Boretti worked extensively with the architect Georges Curtelin (1899-1968), an important figure in Lyon's sacred art of the 1920s. Numerous buildings, in Lyon and in France, display his lighting choices.
