This majestic Louis XV style fireplace, inspired by the solemn fireplaces that adorned the Palace of Versailles, is a testimony to the elegance and craftsmanship of the nineteenth century. Its sinuous structure in red marble recovers the rococo forms, based on cartouches and scrolls that extend from the center of the lintel to the side jambs, balanced and elegantly carved. The pair of carved cherubs at the ends, which emerge from vertical scrolls with palmettes and add a touch of grace and delicacy to the ensemble, stand out enormously. The ornate cast iron hearth features finely chiseled patterns, accentuating the overall elegance of this exceptional piece.
