Measurements: 50 x 91 x 33 cm.
Bargueño of Salamanca model, also called of small columns, with uncovered sample (own solution of an advanced moment of the XVII century), decorated in its exterior with bone plates cut and painted by hand with floral motives. The keyhole shield is complex, with espagnolette and balusters typical of the period on the sides. It follows an architectural structure, with a double column of helical or salomonic shafts flanking each drawer, forming arcades that are arranged with rhythmic and compositional rigor. This type of desk from Salamanca is typically Spanish, and is characterized by the great richness of the exposed sample, with a decoration based on small columns, turned and gilded, as we see here. The most usual in this model is that the sample presents drawers with fronts following different models, which are mixed as evidenced by this bargueño. The central door, carved according to the same ordering principle, hides three drawers. The cabinet has iron side handles.
