The lamp in tender becomes a faithful representative of the modernist movement. On the one hand, it stands out for the combination of sinuous, vegetal and "coup de fouet" forms, which respond to the movement's taste for organic and naturalistic character. On the other hand, the materials used (gilded and copper-plated brass and enameled porcelain) allude to the British Arts & Crafts movement that revalues crafts, which are attributed a regenerative power in modern society. It is, therefore, a unique and distinctive example, a faithful representative of what the modernist movement meant in Catalonia.
