Spanish desk from the end of the 19th century, inspired by Baroque aesthetic models. The piece shows a special ornamental richness. It combines tortoiseshell simile, ebonized wood and gilded bronze applications. It presents a prismatic structure of architectural inspiration, with lateral handles with central lentil. The front is organized in three sections, the lateral ones each occupied by four drawers, and the central one with a niche flanked by columns, which give greater prominence to the bronze round figure in the center of the cabinet. A sculpture representing a young woman with shield and spear in the manner of Greek Athenaeas. Each of the drawers is veneered in faux tortoiseshell and outlined with ebonized wood with filleting on the outside. Finally, the desk is topped with a cantilevered cornice with a forward center. The piece is supported by a rectangular base table with a forward center, following the physiognomy of the desk itself. This sits on round feet and has four legs conceived as a stipe.
