The structure of architectural inspiration shows a delicate carving work with a relief finish. The piece sits on a podium with a geometric profile with the sides recessed and the corners overhanging. The central area overhangs, perhaps as part of the base of a sculpture of the set, now lost. The work, flanked on the sides by fluted columns, of composite or Tuscan order, has two large carvings on each side. In the center, two Tuscan columns also define the area where the vanishing point of the work is located, as is usual in this type of piece. Above them, an entablature decorated with masks gives way to a crest dominated by the relief of God the Father in the center, holding the orb. On the sides of this crest, conceived as a temple, the carving of two little angels can be appreciated.
This type of work was very common not only in churches, but also in a private way, since the great families had rooms dedicated to worship. In this particular case, the quality of the piece and the synthetism in the carving of clear classical inspiration, as well as the dimensions indicate that it is surely a work destined for the private sphere.
