Pine wood carved and gilded.
It has upholstery and springs of later period.
It has faults.

Armchair with carved and gilded wood structure. It is a classicist design characterized by the profuse ornamentation throughout. Thus, we see cabriole legs, molded profiles (especially at the waist and the top) and sinuous curved shapes typical of the furniture of the time. The style of this piece corresponds to French courtly Rococo, the main style during this century. However, the movement is softened, thus anticipating the Neoclassical style of the 19th century.
