Lantern-type ceiling lamp, with the structure in gilded bronze and the facets in frosted glass. It follows a late Empire style design, which can be seen in the profusion of foliate motifs based on acanthus leaves that decorate the corners, as well as in the sogueada structure, the crown and the fruit ornament of the lower vertex. In contrast to the Roman Empire style during which lively volumes dominate and secondary decorative elements are avoided, the taste for relief motifs will increase throughout the nineteenth century, and this French lantern emulates this second period in its ornamented geometric lines.
