Aristocratic bench in white Carrara marble. It exhibits a quality carving in each of its parts, from the feet carved in the form of large acanthus leaves placed between volutes to the relief of the backrest. On the back, heraldic motifs appear, presided over by an oval shield with a lyre surrounded by foliated branches. Two winged lions flank the oval emblem, acting as guardians, and above them float creatures that are hybrids of the animal and plant kingdoms, following stylistic patterns inspired by the grotesques. Dolphins from an imaginary bestiary are carved on the flanks of the legs. The coexistence of elements linked to territorial defense (two weapons intertwined in a cross) and musical instruments (the lyre), together with a bestiary that symbolizes strength and protection, combines blasonic attributes that want to highlight the harmonious confluence between the cultivation of culture and the intimidating power, typical of an important lineage.
