DESCRIPTION
Oriental chest, mid 20th century.
Hand-painted wood.
Damaged on the back.
Measurements: 39 x 87 x 46 cm.
Oriental boot, probably Chinese, with the representation of wild scenes starring elegant ladies wrapped in tunics and floating kimonos, carrying pai-pai fans, carrying small children on their backs and accompanied by dogs. Orlas of flowers frame the scenes. Greens, reds, yellows and blues combine in contrasting polychrome. Metal studs run along the profile of the lid and the sides.
