DESCRIPTION
Lyre table from the 19th century.
Wood with marquetry of walnut root, lemongrass and chicaranda.
Beech legs.
Iron fastener.
Measurements: 54 x 60 x 46 cm.
Nineteenth-century lyre table, so called because of its characteristic typology of legs with a profile cut out in the shape of this musical instrument. The top of the table combines vegetal and geometric designs in its marquetry, based on chicaranda, lemongrass and walnut root, developing in fillets and foliate compositions inscribed in alternating panels. The legs are made of beech and are joined by an iron fastener.
