BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Armchair; France, second third of the eighteenth century.
Wood.
Presents French customs label.
Provenance: private collection conceived since the 1970s between London and Madrid.
Measurements: 98 x 70,5 x 58 cm.
Armchair with wooden core. Raised on slightly curved legs, it has carved decoration that adopts vegetalized forms, an ornamentation similar to the one that can be observed in the waist of the furniture, which gives way to the upholstered seat. The armrests, also made of wood, have a soft area covered with upholstery, which provides greater comfort, contrasting with the rigidity of the wood. The backrest, defined by a profile of curved lines, has a prominent crest, ornamented at the top.
