Facsimile reproduction of the work by Juan Riczo Oliva (also known as Oliva), produced in Naples and dated 1580. The work includes 20 double-page maps, drawn in great detail on parchment, which reflect the advances in geographical knowledge of the time, including the first nautical charts of the New Continent.
This is an exact reproduction of both the illustrations and the material of the copy preserved in the Library of the Royal Palace in Madrid, made in 1987. It is a limited, numbered and certified edition.
The facsimile is bound in dry-stamped leather, in a Mudejar style, adorned with gilt studs and nails. The complementary study book, written by María Luisa Martín-Merás, is bound in paperback.
