Considered the richest and most characteristic work made in the desk of the Royal Monastery of El Escorial, where it is preserved.16th century Codice predilecto del Rey.Contains 320 pages, 45 miniatures on parchment. In the realization of the facsimile have been drawn with gold, one by one (as was done in the sixteenth century) the golden tones, obtaining a faithful reproduction of the original.it was written and miniated by the friars Andres de Leon, Julian de la Fuente el Saz and Martin de Palencia, who were inspired by the mannerist style of Julio Clovio. Unique edition limited to 979 numbered and notarized copies.
