Fray Pedro de la Vega was prior and general of the Order of the Hieronymites. Known for being the chronicler of his order and translator of numerous texts. His formation took place in the University of Sigüenza and after finishing he moved to the Monastery of Santa Engracia, of which he became prior. Among his works are: The History of St. Jerome and the Life of St. Paula, the translation of the Decades of the Roman historian Titus Livius and the composition of a Declaration of the Decalogue, in addition to writing his part of the Chronicle of the Order of St. Jerome.
