Anaklet Reiffenstuel fue un experto en derecho canónico. Perteneció a la orden franciscana y fue elegido definidor de su provincia. Enseñó filosofía en Freising, Landshut y Munich, y derecho canónico en Freising. Sus obras sobre teología moral y derecho canónico le otorgan el primer puesto entre los canonistas de su época, y han pasado por numerosas ediciones, con adiciones de otros autores.
