DESCRIPTION
GIUSEPPE VASI (Sicily, 1710 - Rome, 1782).
"Raccotta delle piu belle vedute antiche e moderne di Roma".
Book composed of 115 engravings (Views of Rome).
It shows wear and tears on the spine.
Measurements: 32 x 43 x 3 cm.
Giuseppe Vasi was an architect and engraver, born in Corleone, Sicily, although he would later move to Rome, where he would develop a good part of his career. Between 1746 and 1761 he would publish 10 volumes of engravings, more than 240 "vedutas", landscape views of the city of Rome. Among Vasi's disciples was, for example, Giovanni Battista Piranesi.
