DESCRIPTION
MUSSIO DESIGN. Chile. Set of necklace, bracelet and earrings with lapis lazuli, mounted in 950 silver. Circa 1980.
Set composed of necklace, bracelet and pair of earrings, made in 950 silver and segments of natural lapis lazuli of intense blue tone with golden inclusions. All pieces have an articulated design in trapezoidal modules that provide flexibility and ergonomic adaptation to the body.
Necklace and bracelet with tongue and eight safety clasp. Matching earrings with snap clasp.
With original case of the firm.
Measurements: 19 cm (bracelet length); 3,7 cm (earrings length); 41 cm approx. (necklace length).
This jewelry set signed by Mussio Design, a reference of contemporary Chilean design, stands out for its elegant modular treatment and the protagonist use of lapis lazuli, Chile's national stone. The alternation of silver and carved stone in angular shapes gives the pieces a modernist aesthetic, with clear references to the sculptural goldsmithing of the 1970s and 1980s. A sober and singular ensemble, representative of Latin American signature jewelry.
