Good condition, but exhibits wear consistent with age and use. One mother-of-pearl eye is missing.

French violin bow stamped with the seal of Paul Mangenot is a highly recommended piece, presumably manufactured in the workshops of Mirecourt in the 1920s with brown tropical wood, with a strong and rounded shaft. The nut is ebony, with its mother-of-pearl eyes and alpaca mount.

Paul Mangenot (1862-1942) worked in the main workshops of Lille, Paris, Lyon and Geneva, until 1890 when he settled in Mirecourt, to join Justin Derazey. In 1927 he ceased his activity.
