Carlo Bisiach (Milan, 1892-1968) was an Italian luthier whose production contributed to the revival of violin making in the region after the difficult times of World War I and World War II. He was awarded numerous prizes, including the gold medal at the XIII Padua Exhibition. He was represented with four violins at the prestigious exhibition-competition of modern violinmaking held in Cremona in 1937 on the occasion of Stradivari's bicentenary, in 1949 he obtained the diploma of honor at the exhibitions of The Hague and Cremona. Subsequently he received numerous other prizes and awards. Many distinguished artists owned instruments by Carlo Bisiach, among them Louis Kaufman (legendary American violin virtuoso), Franz von Vecsey, Edward Karkar, Maestro Saito of the Tokyo Quartet and Dominique Pereira, a concert violinist living in Bombay, India, who owned an Amatise Strad model around 1923 and later also commissioned a Guadagnini model.
