Member of the Royal Photographic Society. Elena Plaza is a photographer who lives and works between Madrid and Menorca. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums throughout Spain, establishing herself as a leading figure in the contemporary photographic scene. He has exhibited his work in spaces such as Photo Espacio Galería Manray (Madrid), Portalea Kultur Etxea (Éibar), Galería Railowsky (Valencia), Fundación Telefónica (Madrid), Museo de la Fotografía de Huete, Galería Lomography (Gijón), Colegio Caracciolos de la Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, Centro de Arte de Alcobendas, Palacio de Quintanar (Segovia), CCI Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto (Gijón), Galería de la Real Sociedad Fotográfica (Madrid), Sala de Exposiciones Ricardo Ortega de la Universidad de Cuenca, Matadero Madrid, Palacio del Infantado (Guadalajara), Centro Leonés de Arte (León) and Fábrica Codina (Mahón, Menorca), among others. His work is part of several public and private collections, including the Real Sociedad Fotográfica de Madrid, the Diputación de León and the Centro de Arte de Alcobendas. With an approach that explores memory, identity and the relationship between the individual and space, Plaza continues to develop his artistic practice with an evocative visual language and a personal and introspective gaze.
