Verónica Vicente is graduated in Fine Arts from UVIGO (2010), she has a Master in Conceptual and Artistic Photography from the Madrid school EFTI (2011), a Master in Contemporary Art, Museology and Criticism from USC (2012) and a Master in Teaching from UVIGO (2022). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Arts and Education at the UGR. Among the awards and grants received, the Land Art Residency at Pazo de Tor held in 2023, the REGA Residency 2021 and the VEGAP Creation Grant 2020 stand out. In 2019, Verrónica, has been awarded by COCEF (FR) in its XX Concurso de Artes Plásticas y Fotografá, has received the ARKO Gestión Cultural prize of the XII Premio de Videoarte Ayuntamiento de Astillero and the award for Young Photography Fundación Enaire. In 2018, her work was acquired in the XX Bienal de Arte de Cerveira (PT) and in 2017 in the XV Certamen de Artes Plasticas Isaac Díaz Pardo and in the XX Certamen de Artes Plasticas Sala el Brocense. In 2016, Veronica, resides at the College of Spain, in Paris, thanks to the Formarte photography scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, and also receives the second prize of the 9th Auditorio de Galicia Award. In 2013 she was first prize in the first International Sculpture Photography Competition, convened by the National Museum of Sculpture and in 2011 she was awarded a scholarship with the Novos Valores of the Diputación de Pontevedra. She has had solo exhibitions at Fundación Rac (2020), at Espacio Alexandra, as part of the Off program of PhotoEspaña 2019, at La Gran gallery (2017) and at the Outono Fotográfico Festival (2013). In addition, his work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions among which stand out, at the national level, those held at the Real Jardin Botánico de Madrid, at the Ciudad de la Cultura, at the CGAC, at the Centre d'Art La Panera de Lleida, at the Centro Torrente Ballester and at the Círculo de Bellas Artes and Tabacalera in Madrid. Internationally, he has taken part in exhibitions at Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa in Lisbon, at the International Video Art Festival FIVAC or at the Athens Digital Arts Festival. His work is part of the collections of CGAC, Fundación Rac, Fundación Enaire, ARKO Gestio?n Cultural, Centre d'Art La Panera, Museo Nacional de Escultura and those belonging to the Diputaciones de Pontevedra, A Coruña, Ourense and Cáceres, in Spain. In Portugal, the Fundaciao Bienal de Arte de Cerveira and, in France, the Colegio de España and COCEF.
