Silvia Serra began her career as a model and through analog photography in 1999. In Holland, the country where she lived, she began to develop the work of other photographers in the darkroom. With borrowed cameras she began to take her first images and it was then that she decided to study photography. Her wanderings took her to Asia. She bought her first camera in 2001 and since then she has not stopped taking pictures. She exhibited in several emerging galleries in Asia, specifically in Bangkok, a city where she lived for a long time. Her first works captured more the essence of improvisation, she waited for the photo to arrive and then she took it. In her most recent works it is she who creates the photos in her head, then gathers what is necessary to carry it out and show it to the world. Her work is characterized by its analog black and whites. Authentic and vivid. Her color photography is hypnotic, taken from a dream, from a story...
