Daughter of Josep de Togores, Teresa de Togores was eminently sculptor. The scholar Esteve Fàbregas i Barri wrote about her in the magazine Lloret Gaceta of 1987: "The sculpture that Maria Teresa presents to us for the first time is solid, robust, united, of a manifest weight and rotundity; we could place it among the "forms that weigh", according to the Orsian classification. Personally, I prefer it, I feel fully identified with it. Even so, I am not an art critic to make a judgment and risk a prognosis. They say that the man of letters is not the best person to understand the plastic arts and I am simply a storyteller. The experts have the word. Both the critics and the public participate in our preference, and we can remember with joy many years later today's afternoon, baptism and epiphany of a new Catalan sculptor."
