The sculptor Heminia Baglietto de Alio made a trip with purposes of study by Italy, France and Spain touring its main artistic centers at the end of the 40's. Sculptor of classic style, she worked the human figure especially that of women and children. She attended the National Salon starting in 1937 on several occasions; the Mar del Plata Salon in 1942 and 1948; the Tandil Salon in 1943, 1945, 1948 and 1949; the Entre Ríos Salon; the Córdoba Salon; the Bahía Blanca Salon in 1945; the Santa Fe Salon in 1948, 1949, 1951 and 1952; the Rosario Salon in 1944, the Rosario Autumn Salon in 1938 and the Rosario Annual Plastic Arts Salon in 1952. He participated in group exhibitions at the Escuela República de México, Salón Tout Petit, Salón para Becarios y Artistas Premiados por la Comisión Nacional de Cultura, Galería Peuser, Amigos de las Artes, Letras y Ciencias and at the Salón del Poema Ilustrado de Galería Peuser, among others. He had individual exhibitions in Witcomb Galleries in 1936, Palace Hotel by the Association of Brazilian Plastic Artists of Rio de Janeiro in 1937, Provincial Museum of Corrientes in 1942, in the Colonial and Historical Museum of Buenos Aires, and in Van Riel Gallery in 1942, among others. He was awarded the Stimulus Prize at the National Salon of 1941. Third Prize at the Tandil Salon in 1943 and First Prize at the same salon in 1948, Third Prize National Commission of Culture at the National Salon in 1946. Ministry of Industry and Commerce Acquisition Award at the National Salon in 1953. Buenos Aires Government Prize at the Bahía Blanca Salon in 1945. Second Prize at the Mar del Plata Salon in 1947.
