Large French jardinière of the seventeenth century.
Cast iron and enameled in blue.
Handles in gilded bronze.

Decorative vase of large dimensions belonging to the French Baroque. Made of cast iron and enameled in greenish blue, it rises on a circular foot and shows a bright patina with subtle veining. The gilded bronze side handles are worked in the form of imposing zoomorphic masks inspired by guardian lions. The piece displays a courtly style characteristic of the period.
