Measurements: 10 x 8 x 6 cm (each).
Gaston Hauchecorne was the greatest exponent of colonialist sculpture of the early twentieth century. Brother of the French consul in the Chinese Empire, he made numerous sculptures with Chinese motifs in terracotta and bronze, some with humorous dyes. He showed his work in 1922 at the National Colonial Exhibition in Marseille and in several salons of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in the 1920s.
