Sculpture carved in alabaster in which the bust of a young woman wearing a headscarf can be seen. In the Italy of 1900, the representation of costumbrista portraits acquired a remarkable importance as a reflection of daily life and popular traditions. These portraits offered an intimate view of the working classes and their customs, capturing the essence of Italian identity at a time of social transformation. Artists such as Giovanni Boldini and Giacomo Balla excelled in this genre, immortalizing scenes of rural and urban life that today constitute a valuable historical and cultural testimony.
