Measurements: 54 cm x 15 cm.
Bronze sculpture in round bulge of Art Deco period representing a female harlequin. The rhombus costume fits her turned limbs and torso enhancing her graceful forms. The elegance of the figure is accentuated by the gentle tilt of the torso and the gaze fixed on a gadfly that has landed on the back of her hand.
The sculptor Fernand Lorrain was born in Nancy in the last third of the 19th century. He was a pupil of M.Ch. Dubourg and made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1876.
