"MILO" MIGUEL FERNANDO LÓPEZ (Lisbon,1955).

Measurements: 31 x 19 x 16 cm.
Sculpture of round bulk, in patinated bronze, representing an ape or gorilla sitting on the ground and with his long left arm stretched, clutching a trunk. The expressiveness of the face and the melancholic look of the small eyes sunken behind the snout stand out. The skillful finishing of the textures can be appreciated in the veristic fur covering the extremities.
Milo (Miguel Fernando López) is a Portuguese artist. His father worked as an antique dealer, so Miquel came into contact early on with different types of art and developed a passion for sculpture. Sculpting was one of his earliest hobbies, so Lopez decided to study arts and graduated in sculpture. Milo also studied in Rome and Venice. Back in Lisbon, Milo began to gain recognition among collectors. He has been interested in a wide range of subjects, with bronze being his favorite material.
