BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Empire style urn, XIX century.
Marble and gilded bronze.
It presents a lack in the marble, in the upper part.
Measurements: 50 x 27 x 27 cm.
Marbled marble urn in different earthy and orange tones, with gilded bronze applications that decorate the flanks and represent a large acanthus leaf topped with three faces inspired by the three-fronted face of Hecate or Janus, gods that symbolize the transits between the past and the future. Stylistically, the urn oscillates between the Empire and Louis XVI styles.
