DESCRIPTION
ANTOINE BOFILL (France, active between 1894 - 1939).
Art Nouveauca vase, 1900.
Patinated bronze.
Signed and numbered.
Measurements: 21,5 x 10 x 12 cm.
A nymph emerges from the waters and merges with the structure of the vase. The piece creates a unique and balanced whole in which the organic forms are the real protagonists.
Antoine Bofill, a French sculptor active at the end of the 19th century and throughout, mainly, the first quarter of the 20th century, worked both in sculpture, usually of small size, and as a decorative object in bronze and ceramics. His sculpture usually deals with costumbrist or oriental themes.
