Sculptor active in Florence between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, Emilio Fiaschi was trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in that city, within the tradition of Florentine sculpture. He worked mainly in Carrara marble and alabaster, and created busts and complete figures of various themes, ranging from classical mythology to literary themes, including costumbrismo. His language was characterized by an acute sense of detail, and his works are distinguished by the fineness of their finishes. He is currently represented in private collections in Europe and America.
